I really like what Mark has done here, changing the mission statement to be more achievement oriented than activity oriented. He has a whole lot of experience crafting mission statements, and it's fantastic that we have his help here!

To jumpstart discussion though, I'll play devil's advocate on a few points:

In the mission statement, do we want to refer to ourselves as "organized but unofficial" Obama supporters? Not sure of our definition of an official Obama supporter. Also, do we want to have parantheses in the first sentence encompassing this point, or could we use commas or anything else?

In the vision statement, I very much like the emphasis on the America "we see". Do we want to repeat "we see" as much as we do now though, or could we refer to the vision using different words that still directly refer to the emphasis on what we see?
