"This is a truly sad state of affairs. Clearly, Obama is not listening to us.I think it's time for an action alert email. Start with a day when we all call & fax the White House. Follow with a day to call and fax our reps and the members of the appropriate committees and especially the chair and the Senators who spoke out so eloquently last summer. Quoted letters to those who assured us that this could be fixed after the new president was elected. This can be coordinated with some of the blogs like FDL, Glen Greenwald, Mark Crispin Miller, KOS. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Glenn Greenwald has been doing an excellent rundown on this for anyone who wants to catch-up. http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/ Check out all the the posts for the past week. There are links to the best coverage including TPM and links to the video of Olbermann who covered this for 2 consecutive days this week.

He (Obama) has abandoned us. I'ts obvious he is following his own agenda since I'm sure he is aware that the American people voted him into office to chsnge the policies of the past eight years. Get FISA rightr? Don't hold your breath. Is there anything the people of the United States can do, or do his actions speak for themselves?.

5. Action Alert: Call-in, etc. on June 17
May 7 2009, 4:12 PM EDT
For the young 'uns among us, that will be the 37th anniversary (yikes! I'm old!) of the Watergate Break-in. Let's assemble a list of legislators, starting with Senate and House Judiciary members. I may be able be some help with that, though I'm juggling many balls right now. I think this could be huge, given the significance of Watergate in FISA, civil liberties, and corruption. JUne 17th is conveniently a Wednesday this year. Can we put together a conference call on a weekend to discuss it (not May 16th or 31st)?
