Ideas for promoting the inauguration ad?

A brainstorming thread ...Here's a few to start out with 1. share the video with your friends (email, facebook, twitter, etc.), and if they like it send the the link to the saysme.tv page and ask them to chip in whatever they can 2. if the discussion at holiday gatherings turns to politics, tell people about the video (and show it, if you've got a broadband connection) 3. blog about it if you blog, mention it in comments, and ask bloggers and journalists to cover it. see the media outreach page for more http://get-fisa-right.wetpaint.com/page/Media+outreach+list other ideas? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Can everyone put it on their Facebook page and create events around it? Facebook newbies, like me, need some help with how to do that. Wouldn't it also make sense to create some kind of event with MyBO? Pre-Christmas and New Years?

That's a great idea -- including the "provide instructions" part. We don't want to over-do it with events so let's think about when's the best timing for one or two.

There are two events then, one right now, pre-Christmas and then another, pre-New Years. Christmas can be around give the gift of getting FISA right, and then obviously our New Year's Resolution is to....get FISA right!

I'm afraid I don't have time before Thursday, but may mention it to family at our Christmas Eve gathering tomorrow. My focus will have to be on New Year's Resolution. (I'm not on FaceBook.)

I like the New Year's Resolution idea a lot! I'll work on getting that started ...For the pre-Christmas event, there won't be enough time for it to build effectively, so let's focus on the New Year's one. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

THis just in -- a way to post still pictures of us, others supporting the Constitution and supporting our ad. Check out what the couragecampaign.org has done re Prop 8 in California, at couragecampaign.org and crooksandliars.com. A description of what they did is: Glad to try and help with the FISA fight. We just used Flickr to display the photos and used their built in slideshow embedding code to post it on our website and to blog in other locations. We could do this!
