Something very simple: "Congratulations, President Obama. Now please say no to telecom immunity, and Get FISA Right"

Not sure about the imagery, but it should be positive. He won -- and we helped; now, let's get to work on fixing things.

estimates range from 4-5M for the inauguration. could we get screenshots of lots and lots of people - possibly even some from Dr Kings march on washington and use that for dramatic effect?

How about a 'rightsometer' showing where we are, where we were 8 years ago and where we should be [our goal] 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

From Bob via Facebook:

Barack stands to cast his vote for FISA. He says, "Aye."

A scene moves in from the right, so screen is split 50/50 between Obama and the dark cavelike Verizon office.

In the office, bumbling Verizon employees, like creatures in a Harry Potter movie, are prying through the files, showing each other O's calling records, making snide comments about "O's ohs!", etc.

The rifling scene moves across the whole screen, freezes.

A cutout of Obama looking concerned is superimposed.

VOICE: "President Obama, for all of us -- you included -- please get FISA right!"

First off---sorry I didn't make the conference call and probably will not be able to make the one this Saturday. I am in the midst of finals week, so my schedule has gotten crazy. I'll try to contribute as much as I can though and am planning on beginning much more outreach (especially with CAP) after next week.

One thing I think we should consider is utilizing the major theme of the American dream that Obama has been utilizing ever since he came onto the national scene at the 2004 DNC. What does warrantless wiretapping. What do these civil rights infringements mean for the future of the American dream and the civil rights movement, especially considering that such wiretapping was used so heavily and illegally on MLK and Malcolm X?
