Attend an Obama Listening to America Platform MeetingHelp ensure that FISA is revisited when our new president and new congressional delegation take office in 2009: Get FISA reforms on the Democratic Party platform. Senator Obama has asked that we take an active role in shaping the platform via platform meetings held throughout the country:
- Find an upcoming Listening Platform event near you, and RSVP.
- Print either the FISA flyer or the Constitution flyer (whichever one you feel more comfortable using).
- Hand out flyers to other attendees, and request the 3-bullet position statement (front of the flyer) be added to the platform.
Note: We made the flyer a two-sided half sheet to save some trees. Print copies of the first page, then put those pages back into the printer drawer, and print the second page onto the back side.

Please take a moment to
send a message to your senator holding them accountable for their vote on the FISA bill yesterday. Either thank them for voting against it, or hold them accountable for voting for it. With just your zip code and a couple of clicks, you can send either a pre-filled message or customize it to send your own message.
Wednesday, the Senate passed the so-called "compromise" FISA bill and gave retroactive immunity to the telecommunications companies that illegally gave the Bush administration private data without warrants. Obama voted for this bill.
Please sign our open letter to Barack Obama demanding accountability, and
invite your friends to do the same.
