Organizational Structure

• We are currently working in a hybrid consensus model and working groups model that allows everyone who is interested in being an organizer to have a voice in any and all aspects of our group

• As much as possible, we have a flat hierarchy with inclusive participation and decision making by consensus

• We have a presence on many networks and plan to expand to as many other networks as possible: MyBO, GetFISAright.net, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and so on.

• We would like to improve communications channels and collaboration efforts with the Obama campaign, Strange Bedfellows, Blue America, nonpartisan organizations, the blogosphere, and the media

• We are considering various fund raising initiatives

• We are considering a couple of nonprofit incorporation structures, including PAC and/or 501(c)(4)

Membership: Recruitment & Retention

• Our upcoming television ad should generate traffic to the website.

• Attempt to reconnect with existing members on myBO, potentially in conjunction with a recruiting effort

• Recruiting new members through our presence on social networking sites: MyBO, Facebook, MySpace, and so on

• Our Facebook recruitment strategy

Marketing and communications

• Emphasize that we are proud supporters of Barack Obama for president while continuing to press for a commitment from Obama to revisit FISA (and possibly other constitutional issues) after his inauguration.
  

• Preserving constitutionally guaranteed civil rights and civil liberties is not a left or right issue - it is an American issue.

• Our history is unique because we were founded and grown as a social network-based group

• Our group is organizing with bleeding edge technologies and using new online tools in novel ways

• Provide support and information to reporters and bloggers who are interested in FISA and/or our group
  

Public Education

• FISA 101: A primer to explain FISA in layman terms.

• Using the listening events and platform discussion as an opportunity for education and to get our position onto the party platform.

• "Don't let our Constitution die" ad (and hopefully other ads to follow)

• Publish an ebook? Attempt to get a book deal? Possible subjects: explanation of FISA, explanation of constitutional issues, how-to for grassroots activists.
