Promoting the Inauguration Ad
How to get more people to see "President Obama, please get FISA right"? Our basic strategy is to get the word out broadly online and encourage people to donate to pay for the cable TV ads (link coming soon). We'll start by airing ads in DC; as we raise more money, we'll continue to concentrate on DC and also branch out across the country.

Here are a few initial ideas; see the discussion thread for more ...
- share the video with your friends (email, facebook, twitter, etc.), and if they like it send the the link to the saysme.tv page and ask them to chip in whatever they can
- if the discussion at holiday gatherings turns to politics, tell people about the video (and show it, if you've got a broadband connection) and how they can help out. Even if nobody decides to contribute, it's still a great way for awareness.
- blog about it if you blog, mention it in comments, and ask bloggers and journalists to cover it. if you're emailing people who don't know a lot about FISA or Get FISA Right, you can send them the strategy backgrounder, which has a brief history as well as other useful information. see the media outreach page here for more.
