| The second round of the change.org Ideas for Change in America started on Monday, January 5; we can revise our idea between now and then. Change.org CEO Ben Rattray's advice: "We encourage you to make sure your idea states in compelling language: (1) the problem you're addressing and why it's important, and (2) your solution for what the government should do to address the problem." Current language below. As usual, there are discussion threads at the bottom of the page. Feedback, please! Update, Jan 21: we added instructions on how to vote and (after a suggestion from Danielle on Facebook) three bulleted "asks" for Obama's actions in the first 100 days. This turned out to be hugely important, because our Idea for Change was delivered (along with the other top-10 finishers) to Macon Phillips of whitehouse.gov at a National Press Club event. Nothing like being specific! |

See http://get-fisa-right.wetpaint.com/page/Change.org+idea+for+second+round for the current statement of our "idea for change". Can we make it more compelling by the time voting starts on Jan 5?
