- Ask for the Senator's position on the Dodd-Feingold-Leahy amendment.
- This amendment removes telecom immunity from the FISA bill.
- Ask for the Senator's position on the Bingaman amendment.
- This amendment prevents Congress from granting the telecoms immunity until the investigation by the Inspectors General and the Department of Justice is complete.
- Once you know their stand, tell them yours.
- The FISA bill is dangerous.
- It ensures the dismissal of all cases pending against the telecoms that facilitated the warrantless wiretapping programs over the last 7 years.
- It permits only minimal court oversight.
- It permits the government to continue surveillance programs even if an application is denied by the court.
- Members of Congress not on Judiciary or Intelligence Committees are NOT guaranteed access to reports from the Attorney General, Director of National Intelligence, and Inspector General.
- Please vote NO on the unamended FISA bill.
- Please vote YES on the Dodd-Feingold amendment.
- Please vote YES on the Bingaman amendment.
